Christian Aid aims to help people in poverty out of poverty
In 2021 our Christian Aid collections were in the form of a retiring collection at church and a scheme called "40 Acts of Wellbeing and Kindness for Lent", where we ticked off a list of kindnesses to either ourselves or others. These encouraged us to consider our own physical and mental health and how we could help one another cope during the lockdown periods and other restrictions which cost us so much in 2020/21.
The total raised by this simple method was £390. This money went to help those less fortunate than us, and the benefit derived from so little effort on our part is truly amazing.
