Traidcraft

Traidcraft is an organisation which, for 25 years, has been fighting poverty by trading fairly.   For small farmers and co-ops, Fair Trade provides guaranteed prices for the products they grow and sell.  In addition, Traidcraft helps producers build sustainable businesses and improve the conditions in which they live and work, thereby offering hope for a better future. 

Gerrards Cross Methodist Church supports Fair Trade and uses Cafedirect coffee and Traidcraft tea in its Church refreshments.  In addition, a monthly Traidcraft stall gives members the opportunity to buy their own Fairly Traded goods. Profits on these sales are returned to the Traidcraft organisation. In the year to August 2006, the profit amounted to £300.
